Game reviews, strategies, and behind-the-scenes stories
Logic Loft Games is an independent studio building free daily word, logic, and puzzle games for the web, iOS, and Android. Our flagship, Pairdle, reinvents the daily word puzzle: instead of guessing one letter at a time, you decode a hidden word by placing letter pairs — a small twist that turns a vocabulary game into a satisfying logic puzzle. Prefer sliding tiles? Pairdle Slide hides 17 words in a single grid. Want an endless adventure? Epic Words sends you across new lands one puzzle at a time.
Every game is free to play in your browser — no download required — with a fresh puzzle waiting each morning. New here? Start with today's Pairdle, then climb the leaderboard and build a daily streak.
We also write practical, plain-English guides to the word and puzzle games people love — full rules, real strategy, and word references from a team that builds these games for a living. Browse them all in our Game Guides hub, or jump straight to a popular one:
Epic Words is more than a word game — it's a world. Your journey runs the length of fifty kingdoms, home to hundreds of characters, each with their own part to play. Every kingdom holds riddles to unravel, and along the road you'll find jousting, puzzles of every kind, and many interwoven stories that carry from one kingdom to the next.

The premise is simple and a little melancholy: across these lands, words themselves are wearing thin. Signposts have gone unreadable, scrolls sit undelivered, and official seals wait on documents nobody can decipher. That's where you come in. As the adventurer walking the long road east, you restore language the only way it can be restored — one word at a time. Each puzzle is a word ladder: climb from one word to the next, changing a letter with every rung, and another piece of the world clicks back into place.

The people you help — and occasionally cross — remember it. In the very first kingdom you'll meet Pell, an overwhelmed junior courier stuck at a crossroads with a scroll he cannot deliver and a signpost he cannot read. Kingdoms later you'll stand before Duke Aldren, who refuses to stamp anything he can't read and remembers exactly who asked him to guess. In between are wandering healers who repay kindness, a bandit chief with unexpectedly strict principles, a lake fairy who trades in half-answered promises, and gatekeepers whose riddles bar the road until you've earned the way through. Favors done in one kingdom have a habit of resurfacing three kingdoms later — the stories interlock, and so do the debts.

There's a collector's thread running through it all, too. Every kingdom has one signature face, rendered as a collectible card in the Founder's Deck, complete with a playing-card rank and suit — fill the deck as you travel and the fifty kingdoms slowly assemble into something like a family portrait of the whole world. And the Deck is only one shelf of the collection. Your Chronicles keep a narrative record of everything that's happened to you on the road, a Places Visited map fills in kingdom by kingdom, and certain special words hide animated effects that burst to life on the board the first time you spell them — each discovery logged to your collection the moment you find it.

Then there's the Vault. The Gold you earn solving puzzles isn't just for tools — carry it to the Vault and spend it to unseal treasures: story cards from the kingdoms you've crossed, rare word effects, avatar cosmetics, and stranger curiosities besides. No two visits pay out quite alike — and if fortune ever repeats itself, the Vault pays you back in Gold, so every visit moves your collection forward. For completionists chasing a full Founder's Deck, it's the best road there.
And through all of it runs the road itself. Some of the people you meet will ask for your help; a few — like Mara, the wandering healer who pays for everything in kindness — will offer theirs when you least expect it. Word by word, kingdom by kingdom, the journey becomes less about reaching the fiftieth gate and more about the company you keep along the way. Every adventurer's story reads a little differently. That's rather the point.
